Mole Patrol
Mole Patrol is the examination of single suspicious moles and includes advanced diagnostic analysis using patented digital mole mapping technology.
The specific examination is performed out by our Nurse Specialists trained in applying the advanced criteria recommended by the International Dermoscopy Society. This technique aims to identify moles which show early signs of skin cancer by analysing characteristics beneath the surface of the mole - signs which may not be visible to the naked eye. We use patented technology developed in the UK.
A Mole Patrol is recommended for anyone with an abnormal, new or changing mole and can be combined with a more comprehensive Skin Patrol check.
Skin Patrol
Skin Patrol is a comprehensive skin screening procedure offering a clinical examination of all visible moles on the body a head to toe ‘skin MoT’
The clinical examination is carried out by a Nurse trained in utilising the NICE recommended criteria for mole examination. This aims to identify any suspect moles showing any surface signs of skin cancer.
Skin Patrol is recommended for all those who have never had their skin checked previously and for those at a higher than average risk of skin cancer. In addition, regular annual check ups are encouraged for ‘peace of mind’.
MoleMap - Digital Mole Mapping
Mole Vision also offers a complete digitalised mole mapping service (MoleMap) of your skin using the latest technology developed in the UK.
Combining patented technology and digital camera systems allows the delivery of a superior dermoscopic view for fast Skin Cancer detection and state-of-the-art below-the-skin visualisation. This enables doctors and nurses to see live previews in full colour, providing a visual assessment of malignant melanomas within seconds, that can be shared with patients on-the-spot. |
